Staying Motivated

Not being able to practice your profession on certain days, weeks, or a certain period of time can be disheartening. Like for a non-flying pilot, I found out that it is quite frustrating. But this should not ruin your vacation (if you're having one) or your free time. Keeping yourself motivated will help a lot. Here are some ways on how to stay motivated when not flying.

Hey, that's me ! Thanks a lot for the mention. I just want to add a little correction. Flying is simply a hobby for me, not a job. I'm temporarily not able to fly anymore for time and budget factors. I however want to resume asap, so I do what is required to keep my license valid. It's not a lot of flying, not a lot of fun (in comparison to what I usually did), and when bills come in, it requires a good chunk of motivation...

Due to many factors (9/11, fuel prices, ...) there are many professional pilots who had to stop flying, temporarily or definitely. When job and passion are the same loosing it can be quite tough.
